John Barry Founder– New England
Prior to forming ETS, John Joseph Barry enlisted in the United States Navy from 69’ to 73’. He was then employed at Raytheon Underwater Testing Labs, and Becton Dickinson Electrodyne for ten years all while attending Northeastern University. He then left Becton Dickinson for a better opportunity as a Field Service Engineer at Advanced Technology Laboratories. After 7 years of service to ATL, in which John established himself as one of the best ATL service engineers in the area, he built on that reputation by being professional, honest, and hardworking. However John did see that there was room for improvement that he could provide excellent service at a reasonable price, and so he took a chance on another lucrative opportunity and in the year 1990 went into business for himself giving birth to Encore Technical Services. John started Encore from the ground up, taking on the job of manager, salesman, and service engineer. Today the company is 27 years old growing having expanding the core services business to procurement and distribution in recent years.
